Had a great time at the National Write Your Congressman 50th Anniversary Gala last Saturday. Did not expect to be on camera (actually three cameras!). Hope my hair looked allright! Guess we'll find out when we get a copy of the video. I can quote Dennis here - During one song he leaned over to me and said "Hey! It looks like Austin City Limits!".I hope it was that good!

A great time was had by all! Thanls for having us!

We played a huge fundraiser last weekend for Habitat for Humanity... as usual we had the dance floor full and a good time was had by all.  Now it's time to get back to Mario's and rock those summer nights away.  We've upgraded our sound system and we are raring to go!

As you can see from the home page, our CD has moved up a rung in the Grammy pecking order. We are of course excited and thrilled that we made the cut in not one but TWO categories.

While we realize that another move will be hard to come by (we're up against Barry Manilow, Avril Lavigne,Taylor Hicks, Macy Gray to name a few) but we are happy just to be nominated. I know how it feels to say"Just to be nominated with all those people is incredible" now. Miracles can still happen (see George Bush vs. Al Gore hanging chads), but we honestly will take this and be happy.

Thanks to all of you who have purchased the CD , supported our live shows, and been there for us for the past 20 years. It has been worth it for us and we hope for you as well. Now, what do I wear . . . Armani or Versace??? I can see troubles ahead already.

10/24/2007 - The producer of our new CD, Phil York, has notified us that we have been successfully submitted and screened by the Recording Academy and are now in the running for a Grammy in two categories:

• Best Pop Album of the Year
• Best Pop Vocal by a Female (Patti Wilson, "It's Raining").

OK - Well, uh, you see, we were just, uh, walking down the street and this guy runs up to us and says "Hey! I really like your new CD Livin' In Fin-Land! and I'd really like to submit it for a possible Grammy Award nomination!" And so we say, "You better pinch us all because we must be dreaming". And he says "No, this is for real!" (but not before pinching Patti first!)!

Well, it didn't actually happen like that. But our esteemed producer, Phil York (who has won three Grammy Awards himself!) likes our CD and thinks we might just have a shot in several categories. So he has submitted it for a possible nomination for the 2008 Grammy Awards in February!

How freakin' neat is that??

So, cross your finger, hold your breath, say a little prayer and we'll see what happens!

And hey! Just the fact that someone thought it was good enough to submit is way beyond what we would have ever possibly imagined!!

Well, Dennis might have imagined it - he's always dreaming large!

( But if I were you, I'd go grab a CD right now before the price goes up! )
