DWS Summer Music Institute
Our 4th Summer Music Institute, held June 7th-11th, was a resounding success once again! The annual five-day band camp offers a unique musical training experience for inner-city youth, and is an important part of our community outreach and education programs.

The Dallas-Fort Worth area has more community bands per capita than anywhere in the USA!

All five conductors of the Washington military bands (Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard) appeared together for the first time in history... conducting the Dallas Wind Symphony in the Meyerson Center.
